  • Saint Stylianos was born in Andrianoupolis Paphlagonia in Asia Minor between 400 and 500 AD. As soon as he came of age, he distributed his father’s property to the poor and lived in a secluded place with fasting and persistent exercise in a cave. God rewarded his holy feeling and gave him the miraculous power to heal sick children. Thus, the Saint was established as the patron of infants and healer of childhood diseases. Died in Paphlagonia, unknown date. The Orthodox Church honors his memory on November 26. Silver-plated icon of Saint Stylianos.
